Working Remotely

I just returned home from a 2-week trip to California. I spent the first week in Palm Springs and the second week in Tahoe. Not to make light of the pandemic, but I believe that one of the silver linings of the last 7 months is that it has made a lot of people realize that they can work from pretty much anywhere in the world. Obviously there are certain professions that do not allow remote working, but I am extremely blessed to be able to do the majority of my work from anywhere with good WiFi.

To be honest, I'm often MORE productive when working remotely than I am at home. The last 2 weeks were incredibly productive, and I was able to complete several projects that I've had on my to-do list for months. The reason? When I'm traveling, I tend to be WAY more focused with the time I spend working because I want to give myself time to explore or relax the rest of the day.

Now don't get me wrong - I absolutely love going into the office and seeing my coworkers and clients. Nothing can beat in-person interactions for relationship-building. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that I am grateful for technology and the opportunity it provides to mix up my environment and see some pretty awesome places while also getting stuff done.

Palm Springs

In Palm Springs, I spent most of my days by the pool and soaked up as much sun as possible. It's the most relaxed I’ve felt in 6+ months.

Lake Tahoe

In Tahoe, we were VERY active every day. I mountain-biked for the first time, went on a beautiful sunrise hike, biked 23 miles to Emerald Bay, and went on several walks to the beach. It was an amazing week with my best friends in my new favorite place.

My October Challenge

For the month of October, my challenge is to do Yoga every day this month. This is one of my favorite challenges to date so far :)

Access 2020

It was an honor to speak at the Chicago Title Access 2020 virtual event last week! The event was all about innovation and adaptation in real estate.

Drone Videos

I've been having lots of fun lately playing around with my drone. Check out these videos that I made of Los Angeles and Palm Springs... from the sky
