Walking a Marathon

Last weekend, I decided to walk a marathon! 26.2 miles and 60,000 steps later, my 2021 average daily step count is back over 10,000 steps! This was one of my goals for the year, but I’ve been struggling to get my steps in lately. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful December day in Seattle. I planned on listening to a bunch of podcasts and audiobooks, but I ended up spending most of the 8-hour walk in silence. Quiet time with your thoughts is HIGHLY underrated. Feeling grateful for a healthy body that made this possible!

Meditating Every Day for a Month

I did a guided meditation every day in November. I've experimented with my morning and evening routines a ton over the last few years, but this was somehow my first time trying meditation. And I absolutely loved it. It forced me to slow down every single day. No matter what was happening in my life or causing me stress, I spent 5-10 minutes every day this month not thinking about it. It's amazing how much a single deep breath can transform your entire mood. If you've never tried meditation, I highly recommend it!

My December Challenge

'Tis the season! For the month of December, my challenge has been to do a Christmas activity every single day. Some of my favorite activities from this month were the Tacoma Santa Parade, going to Zoo Lights, sending out Christmas cards for the first time, and watching a TON of Christmas movies!
