11 Years of Real Estate

Last month, I celebrated 11 years since getting my real estate license - over a third of my life! I was a bright-eyed teenager and had zero plans of actually working in real estate. I just liked looking at cool houses and wanted to be able to say that I’m a 4th-generation real estate agent.

Here we are 11 years later, and turns out I LOVE being a real estate agent. I love demystifying the home buying process, I love driving all over the map for showings, I love pointing out the good things and the bad things, I love figuring out creative ways to market my listings, I love the thrill of negotiating an offer, and I love helping people make the single greatest investment of their lives.

I’ve sold a couple hundred homes over the last decade, and it’s always been something that I’ve done on the side while building Theory’s businesses. I’m excited to share that in this next season, I am shifting my focus and really leaning into my work as a real estate agent. I often have friends ask me if I’m taking on new clients right now, and the answer is YES. I would be honored to help you, your friends, and your family with your real estate needs (including connecting you with Agents in other states). I’m happy to chat anytime!

Congrats Alec, Shauna, & Seth!

The last day of April was a very exciting day in my life as a real estate agent, as I had TWO wonderful clients close on the purchase of their first homes in Seattle. Huge congrats to Alec, Shauna, and Seth on this huge life milestone and investment into your futures!!

There are exactly 153 days until Ironman Sacramento, and training is in full force. I'm swimming, biking, and running more miles every month. I went on a 6-mile bike ride yesterday - my longest ride so far this year. I'm documenting my training journey on Instagram if you care to follow along!

Good Neighbor Village

Did you know that a village is being built in Pierce County to provide long-term housing for nearly 300 chronically homeless people in our community? Over the last 5 years, the Tacoma Rescue Mission has been working on turning this idea into a reality.

I had the chance to visit the inspiration for this project back in 2021 - Community First Village in Texas. I was amazed to say the least. It felt like a neighborhood where anyone would be happy to call home - with beautiful landscaping, communal spaces, employment opportunities, a gift shop with artwork created by the residents, weekly events and activities, and a true sense of community and belonging.

Homelessness is one of the greatest crises in our society, and Pierce County’s Good Neighbor Village will make a significant impact in the lives of hundreds of our neighbors - a place where they can live out the rest of their lives with dignity.

As you can imagine, this is a massive project that will require a ton of support and funding. Message me for details if you’re interested in learning more and joining the cause!

Sober AF

Back in March, my friend Stephanie achieved her dream of opening an alcohol-free bottle shop! Stop by Sober AF on South Tacoma Way for a wide selection of zero-proof beverages + mocktails & events coming soon! AF = Alcohol Free

Victoria, Canada

This year for Christmas, my family decided to do experiential gifts rather than physical gifts. My parents chose to take the family to visit our neighbors to the north in Victoria, Canada! It was an incredible weekend and we're already planning our next trip (HERE's a little weekend vlog)

Monterey, California

Last weekend, we visited Monterey and Carmel by the Sea for the first time for a friend's wedding. Congrats Josh & Julie! We had zero idea how beautiful this part of California was. I ran a half marathon along the coast and it was by far my favorite run ever. Highly recommend adding this area to your travel list if you haven't been there already! (HERE's a little weekend vlog)
